National Day of Prayer events in the Pine Belt

National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 3. Many churches around the Pine Belt will be gathering to pray for the nation and participate in other activities. 

The following events are scheduled for National Day of Prayer:

  • Hattiesburg, Wednesday, May 2: Hattiesburg prayer walk at 416 East Pine Street beginning at 10:30 a.m. for worship and prayer assignments, followed by an 11:30 a.m. lunch.
  • Hattiesburg,Thursday, May 3: National Day of Prayer at Temple Baptist Church from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Petal, Thursday, May 3: City of Petal hosts National Day of Prayer rally at Petal Relay Park under the flagpole, beginning at 6 p.m.
  • Ellisville, Thursday, May 3: National Day of Prayer rally at Ellisville Courthouse, featuring prayer, music and national anthem.
  • Laurel, Thursday, May 3: National Day of Prayer Breakfast at Southeastern Baptist College from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
  • Laurel, Thursday, May 3: Prayer rally at the Jones County Courthouse in Laurel, west entrance. Churches from across Jones County will gather for prayers, music, Pledge of Allegiance and a time of reflection.
  • Waynesboro, Thursday, May 3: National Day of Prayer from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Wayne County Courthouse, featuring prayer and music.
  • Columbia, Thursday, May 3: National Day of Prayer at Marion County Courthouse beginning at 5:30 p.m., featuring speakers and musicians.
  • Purvis, Thursday, May 3: National Day of Prayer on the steps of the Lamar County Chancery Court House beginning at 12:00 p.m.
