4 hurt in Forrest County crash

FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Four people, including two children, were hospitalized following a crash on Matthew Johnson Road in Forrest County on Monday morning.

An official at the scene said the injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.

A red Ford Explorer was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

According to officials, it appears the SUV was heading north when it went off the right side of the roadway and hit a culvert. The vehicle then crossed the road and slammed into a tree.
