University of Southern Mississippi safety Tarvarius Moore was selected on the second day of the National Football League draft by the San Francisco 49ers.
Moore, who played the past two years for the Golden Eagles and led the team in tackles and interceptions in 2017, was taken Friday in the third round and the 95th player overall.
He was one of three players from Mississippi colleges drafted on the second day.
University of Mississippi linebacker, Breeland Speaks. was the second-round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was the 46th selection overall. Mississippi State center, Martinas Rankin, was selected in the third round by the Houston Texans. He was the 80th pick overall.
The 2018 draft wraps up Saturday with rounds four through seven.
