HPD operation leads to 6 arrests, 4 stolen guns recovered

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police cracked down in the Hub City on Thursday, making six arrests and recovering four stolen weapons.

According to the Hattiesburg Police Department, the following suspects were arrested and charged with various crimes:

Courtney Mason, 26, of Hattiesburg: Charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen weapon.

Antonio Cohn, 34, of Columbia: Charged with a probation violation.

Dalvin Taylor, 20, of Hattiesburg: Charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen weapon.

Vincent Sandifer, 18, of Hattiesburg: Charged with possession of a stolen weapon. Sandifer is also being held as a fugitive for another law enforcement agency.

Shaquille Minor, 22, of Hattiesburg: Charged with a probation violation.

Adrian Barnes, 19, of Hattiesburg: Charged with possession of a stolen weapon.

The suspects were all booked into the Forrest County Jail.

In addition to the arrests, Hattiesburg officers working a special detail also cleaned gang-related graffiti from 25 street signs.

    The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued a Missing/Endangered Child Alert for four-year-old William Holley III of Clarksdale. He was last seen Saturday at approximately 11:45 a.m. near the Hampton Inn and McDonald's on Highway 49 South in Clarksdale, in Coahoma County.
