PINE BELT (WDAM) -

Adults living in housing that they struggle to afford often describe themselves as less healthy, and the well-being and development of millions of children is compromised by living in insecure housing.

No family should have to choose between having a decent roof over their heads and putting food on the table.

Hattiesburg Area Habitat for Humanity works vigorously to make affordable housing possible in our community. Our partner families go through a rigorous education program and put in their own sweat equity hours toward building their home.

With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families.

We are excited that the Hattiesburg Area Association of Realtors has elected to make Habitat the recipient of proceeds from their annual Crawfish Boil fundraiser.

The crawfish boil will be this Saturday, April 23, from noon to 4 p.m. at Patio 44. You can buy tickets at Deep South Title or at the door.

Together, we can build a stronger community.
