JCJC star guard Alexis Tolefree commits to Arkansas

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Jones County Junior College standout guard Alexis Tolefree recently had a change of heart regarding her initial college decision. After committing to Ole Miss, she announced Wednesday her verbal commitment to the University of Arkansas.

This will be a homecoming for the Conway, Arkansas native. Tolefree's change of heart can be traced back to the Lady Rebels and former head coach Matt Isnell agreeing to go their separate ways in March. The school hired Yolett McPhee-McCuin to replace Isnell.

Mississippi State was in the running for Tolefree as well. The 5-8 guard has been one of the most explosive scorers in junior college ball the past two years. Tolefree averaged 21.3 points per game this past season.
