HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Former Southern Miss wide receiver Korey Robertson signed a UFA deal to play with the Minnesota Vikings.
As a redshirt junior in 2017, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Robertson became the sixth USM player to record a 1,000-yard receiving season. The Greenwood native led the Golden Eagles with 76 receptions for 1,106 yards and 12 touchdowns earning him a First Team All-Conference USA selection.
His catches rank second on Southern Miss' single-season chart while Robertson's touchdowns tied for third and the yardage fifth.
Robertson announced in January that he would forgo his senior season to enter the 2018 draft. Following the announcement, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweeted that Robertson is projected as high as a second- or third-round selection in the upcoming draft.
Robertson ran a 4.56 in the 40 at the NFL Combine earlier in March.
