BAY SPRINGS, MS (WDAM) - Bay Springs High School hosted a scholarship signing ceremony Tuesday for high-achieving students.
Eleven seniors have earned more than $1.6 million in college scholarships. Principal Kesia Pope said that is the highest amount offered to one class in the three years that she has been at the school.
During the ceremony at the school auditorium, the honored students spoke about their individual scholarships and where they will be going to college. Most said they will attend a junior college before finishing their degree at a four-year university.
