SEMINARY, MS (WDAM) - Just hours before their playoff win over Forest, two Seminary baseball players signed scholarships to play ball at the next level.
Landry McQueen inked with Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Fisher Norris signed with Southern Miss.
"It's definitely a day I've been waiting for my whole life," Norris said. "I've always wanted to go to Southern, me and my dad [have] been going to games since I was a little kid. It's a school I've been wanting to go ever since I was a little kid. They got a wonderful program, the coaches and the atmosphere there is amazing so I really couldn't ask for anything else. God's blessed me extremely."
"This is something I've been waiting for my entire life and something I've worked for endlessly forever," McQueen said. "It feels good to know that all the hard work, all these years finally paid off."
