A juvenile was arrested after leading police on a chase through parts of Hattiesburg on Monday.
According to Hattiesburg Police Department spokesman Ryan Moore, police received a call that a vehicle had been stolen on Katie Avenue.
Officers in route spotted the stolen vehicle on Martin Luther King Avenue. When officers tried to make a traffic stop, Moore said the juvenile refused to stop and led officers on a chase through residential areas around Martin Luther King Avenue.
The suspect eventually wrecked in the front yard of a home on Duke Avenue, ran from the vehicle and was taken into custody, Moore said.
Police discovered that the juvenile was also responsible for a residential burglary on Barry Street.
The juvenile was charged with residential burglary, felony eluding, grand larceny auto and receiving stolen property.
