HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

There were a number of high school baseball teams in action on Friday night as the postseason approaches. Here’s a look at some of the prep scores from around the Pine Belt:

Sumrall (2) FCAHS (0) – 11 innings

Garrett Robbins hit the game-winning double in extra innings for the Bobcats.

Hattiesburg (7) Picayune (4)

The Tigers (14-6) are one win away from capturing the Region 7-5A title.

“Just keep trying to improve as a team,” said Hattiesburg head coach Joe Hartfield. “Learn from things that we did well tonight, learn from things that we didn’t do as well. I thought we had a good team win tonight and I thought Picayune played a quality ball game. We’re proud of the win. It’s a big district win and we’re still trying to get that district title. We’re one win away from it.”

Columbia (16) Bogue Chitto (2)

Purvis (13) Poplarville (0)

Mize (14) North Forrest (0)

Taylorsville (13) Heidelberg (0)

Oak Grove (3) George County (2)

Pearl River Central (5) North Pike (1)

Stone (10) Gautier (3)
