MISSISSIPPI (WDAM) - The Mississippi Region American Red Cross said they are not affected by the recall of Kidde brand smoke alarms.
The company recalled nearly 500 thousand of the dual sensor alarms last week.
The American Red Cross gives out smoke alarms as a part its Home Fire Campaign.
According to the Red Cross Regional Director of Communications Tamica Jeuitt, the organization did buy more than 3,000 smoke alarms that might be affected by the recall, but none of them are in our state.
The smoke alarms were sold from September 2016 through January 2018 at Walmart, Home Depot, and other home and hardware stores.
