Two Hattiesburg women charged for armed robbery

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police charged two women for armed robbery of a bank Tuesday.

Officers arrested Tyeshia Thomas, 23, and Tashi Williams, 22, on March 22, on misdemeanor warrants, according to a Facbook post from the Hattiesburg Police Department. An investigation revealed the two were connected to a robbery a March 21 robbery at Regions Bank in the 1000 block of Turtle Creek Drive. 

Police said a victim claimed the two women approached his vehicle with a gun as he was in the drive through ATM and stole his money.

Thomas and Williams are each charged with one count of armed robbery and are booking in the Forrest County Jail.
