FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Mississippi Department of Corrections inmate who did not return from a weekend pass has been found.
James Robert Keel is in custody after being arrested at 2:10 p.m. without incident in the Water Valley area, according to MDOC. Keel will be returned to Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Ranking County.
Keel, 42, is serving 20 years for conspiracy to commit a crime and 10 years of probation for selling methamphetamine in Yalobusha County. He was being housed at the Forrest County Community Work Center in Hattiesburg.
A search for Keel began after officials said he was supposed to return to the facility Monday after a weekend pass, but he never showed up.
