Pair of basketball Crusaders named NAIA All-America

KANSAS CITY, Mo -

William Carey University senior guards Troy Salvant and Jaylen Moore were named All-America Thursday by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Salvant, the Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year, was named first team NAIA All-America after averaging 16.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists a game.

Moore was named honorable mention All-America after averaging 15.2 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists a game.

The Crusaders, who were upset in the opening round of the NAIA national tournament, finished the season 25-6 and won both the SSAC regular-season and tournament championships.
