Traffic stop leads to drug discovery in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Two Mississippi men were arrested in Hattiesburg after a traffic stop led to the discovery of illegal drugs Monday night.

According to the Hattiesburg Police Department, officers pulled over a vehicle for having one headlight on 7th Street around 10 p.m.

A search of the vehicle uncovered 21 grams of methamphetamine, promethazine codeine, crack cocaine and marijuana, according to HPD spokesman Ryan Moore.

Hugh Martin, of Prentiss, and Tyikeveus Brown, of Beaumont, were booked into the Forrest County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance. Martin, 25, and Brown, 22, each face four counts.
