BAY SPRINGS, MS (WDAM) - After leading Bay Springs basketball to its first state championship in school history in 2015, head coach Corey Mackey and the Bulldogs are back in the state title game.

Bay Springs battles Coahoma County in the Mississippi Coliseum on Friday at 3 p.m.

In his 11 seasons as head coach, Mackey as established a winning program at Bay Springs.

"To be a consistent winner, you must come up with a system and to be a great program, you come up with your system and you find kids to fit that system," Mackey said. "Actually, this team here has bought into the system. Everybody has a part they play and they play their part to make this a great team."

"Honestly, just try to play team ball, stick together," said Bay Springs senior Austin Sigsworth. "Like coach Mack says, 'We, not I.' And so, just try to play our game 'cause honestly, the way we feel, can't nobody beat us other than us – if we beat ourselves."
