HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Corner Market in Hattiesburg will move from its original location in the Midtown market to a larger location a few doors down.

The new store will be located in what was Dirt Cheap, which has since closed. It will be going from 18,000 square-feet to around 50,000 square-feet, according to vice president of the Roberts Company, David Roberts.

"This is the ideal project for the Roberts Company, it's what we want," said Roberts, who is a third-generation vice president. "This was the first Corner Market in 2001 that my dad started."

Roberts said they will begin the demolition on the inside of the old Dirt Cheap building and expects to being at the end of the month.

“Our completion date is hopefully going to be around October 31 or early November, before the holidays," Roberts said. "That’s what we plan to do.”
