Laurel woman behind bars after stabbing

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

A Laurel woman is behind bars after stabbing an unknown man. Just before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the Laurel Police Department responded to West Hills Apartments for an assault complaint. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a stab wound.

The victim was taken to South Central Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Latisha Martin, 28, was arrested at the scene of the crime and is charged with one count of aggravated domestic assault. 

Martin, who made an appearance in Laurel Municipal Court today, has a bond of $5, 000. 

Authorities urge anyone with information about this or any other case to call the Laurel Police Department at 601-399-4440 or Crime Stoppers at 601-428-STOP.
