ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) -
Jones County Junior College is hosting its annual Spring Blood Drive. The event kicked off Monday.
The three-day event makes it easy for students, faculty and the community to come by the campus and donate blood. Just follow the signs on campus to the D.O. Thoms P.E. Building.
There's plenty of staff on hand to help you make a difference.
"Everybody is going to get a cool T-shirt for giving blood, but the best thing that they are going to receive is knowing they were someone’s hero today," said Beverly Clark, a donor recruitment representative with United Blood Services.
The blood drive runs through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Donors can save time by completing a health history survey online before heading to campus.
