UPDATE: Bond set for man in Jones Co. drug raid, additional charges pending

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Jones County authorities discovered possible explosive devices inside a home during a drug raid Friday, March 2.

Michael Sanchez, 32, is being held on a conspiracy to sell narcotics charge. Sanchez made his court appearance today.

The sheriff's department said additional charges will be filed, including felony possession of a weapon and additional federal crimes.

Jones County Sheriff Hodge says they are waiting from word from ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives), which should come tomorrow or at the latest Tuesday, for additional federal charges and information regarding the explosive devices.

Sanchez's bond is set at $50,000 for the conspiracy to sell narcotics charge.
