Hattiesburg road rage incident leads to shots fired

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police responded to a road rage incident that led to shots being fired outside of a Hub City restaurant.

Police said the incident began on Interstate 59 when a passenger car cut off a minivan, leading to a verbal altercation in a parking lot after both vehicles exited the interstate. 

The driver of the minivan drove off as the two passengers of the car went inside a restaurant. The minivan driver returned to the parking lot and fired two shots at the empty car, one in its window and one in its door, before leaving the scene, according to police.
