Thomas Morstead was greeted in Minneapolis by zero-degree temperatures, but not even the cold could deter his spirits as he embarks on a fulfilling trip to deliver a check to the local children's hospital and meet some young Vikings fans who chose to donate to his charity.
"I'm super stoked," he said in baggage claim Thursday night. "Haven't braved the cold weather yet. We haven't walked outside yet, but I'm excited for tomorrow."
Friday will begin with over a dozen interviews on radio row at the Mall of America before arriving at the hospital to present a check for over $200,000, raised by Morstead after donations poured in from Minnesota IP addresses, all due to his good sportsmanship in the Saints' loss to the Vikings in the playoffs.
