Paving project shuts down heavily traveled Hattiesburg street

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The repaving project for South 37th Avenue in the City of Hattiesburg has begun. 

Road crews have started milling and leveling the stretch of road between Hardy Street and West Adeline Street. 

The repaving process will start Thursday and is expected to be complete by the end of day.

Drivers should be aware that traffic delays are possible on this stretch of road for the next two days. Alternate routes are South 34th Avenue at Arlington Loop to Hardy Street.
