Man indicted for murder escapes from Neshoba Co. courthouse

PHILADELPHIA, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Neshoba County Sheriff's Office needs your help searching for an escaped fugitive.

Law enforcement says Edward Bragg, Jr. jumped from the second story window of the Neshoba County Courthouse after being indited for murder by a grand jury.

Sheriff Tommy Waddell says that local schools have been put on lock-down, and are searching the area for Bragg. 

If anyone knows information about the whereabouts of Bragg are asked to call the Neshoba County Sheriff's Department at (601)656-1414.

    Following a school-record 55 wins and run that ended in an 8-7 loss in the NJCAA national championship, Jones County Junior College softball is eager to open the 2018 season on February 3. Coming that close to the school’s first national title serves as motivation enough for the Lady Bobcats. Regardless, expectations are always high for coach Chris Robinson’s teams – JCJC is a combined 105-12 the last two seasons.
