Forecast: Much colder for Christmas

More fog has formed in the area this morning so please use extra caution while traveling.

After the fog burns off later this morning expect mostly cloudy and rather warm weather today with highs in the mid to upper 70s.

After midnight a cold front will move through the area producing showers and thunderstorms.

These showers and storms should end early Saturday morning and becoming partly cloudy and dry by the afternoon.

Christmas Eve looks mostly sunny and much cooler with highs in the mid to upper 50s and lows in the lower 30s.

Christmas Day looks sunny and cold with highs around 50 and lows around 32.

    On July 20, thirty-year-old Kalisa Rambert brought a small amount of spice into the Forrest County Jail through a pair socks. Authorities says she was visiting someone in the facility.  When authorities checked her belongings, they found the drugs and booked her on charges of introduction of contraband into a correctional facility.     In an effort to cut down on costs this summer, Entergy is offering tips to keep customers keep while cool without paying the price. According to officials, “for every degree lower than 78 degrees lower” on the thermostat it can increase a bill by as much as three percent.
