Taylorsville, MS (WDAM) -

Just a few weeks removed from their class 2A state championship, the Taylorsville Tartars were treated to a steak and chicken dinner courtesy of pro ball player Billy Hamilton.

The Taylorsville grad, who wrapped up his fifth season with the Cincinnati Reds in October, never passes up an opportunity to give back to his hometown.

"Being around just mingling with those guys have been the biggest part of my night so far,” Hamilton said. “As long as they're happy, I'm happy. And I just want them to be the best they can be and I'm going to be here to help them out as much as I can. That's one thing I love is coming back and giving to my community ‘cause this is where I was raised, this is where I started at. This will always be home for me so for me to come back and do what I can, do the right thing for those guys, it's great for me."
