Forecast: Watch for dense fog this morning.

Good Monday morning Pine Belt.

We start the day with dense fog in many areas and a few showers or thunderstorms can't be ruled out especially this morning. Highs should be mainly in the 60s.

More fog is possible tonight with a shower or two possible as well with lows in the lower 60s.

We have a chance for showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday as well with highs in the lower 70s. A few strong thunderstorms are possible late Tuesday night into early Wednesday.

We finally get a break on Thursday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s.

Rain chances will return for Friday into the weekend as we gradually cool back down on Saturday and Sunday with highs in the 60s .

Christmas is still up in the air at this time but we do expect much colder weather to return right after Christmas.

    Injuries midway through the 2017 football season thrust Northeast Jones High School’s Swiss-army-knife-of-a-player, Javier Magee, behind center as the Tigers’ starting quarterback. The experience was, to say the least, unsettling. “It was kind of hard,” said Magee, who is known by his nickname, “Fi Fi,” which for some reason lost in time, is spelled “Fa Fa.”
