The Department of Justice announced the sentencing of two men for drugs after a lengthy investigation into a drug trafficking organization in South Mississippi.
Donyale Jerrel Holloway, 37, of Bogue Chitto and Ennis Montgomery, 48, of Rockford, Ill. were sentenced on Tuesday in Natchez for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 50 kilograms or more of marijuana.
Holloway was sentenced to 211 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release and ordered to forfeit $53,674. Montgomery was sentenced to 51 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. Both were ordered to pay a $1,500 fines.
The defendants were arrested after a lengthy investigation into a drug trafficking organization operating in South Mississippi. According to the press release, Montgomery was transporting marijuana in an 18-wheeler from Texas to Lincoln County, Miss. Holloway would then distribute the drugs in South Mississippi.
