HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Police Department will be hosting an active shooter seminar and training session in late November.
The program will take place on Nov. 28 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hattiesburg Police & Fire Training Academy at 53 Academy Drive in Hattiesburg.
The one-day course is designed to present proactive survival strategies for violent intruder or active shooter incidents. The purpose is to provide businesses, corporations, industries, schools and hospitals with enhanced survival options for those critical moments between the onset of a violent situation and when law enforcement arrives on scene.
