Chi Omega to host its 66th annual Songfest Nov. 17

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The University of Southern Mississippi's Epsilon Delta chapter of Chi Omega Sorority will hold its annual Songfest Friday, November 17th from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Reed Green Coliseum on the Hattiesburg campus.

This event is the longest- running Greek Life philanthropic event at Southern Miss.

Admission is free, but donations are accepted at the door to help grant wishes of children with life threatening diseases.

A silent auction will also be held.

    After two innings Friday night at Pete Taylor Park, the University of Southern Mississippi had strolled to a 6-0 lead over visiting Middle Tennessee State University. Literally. The 13th-ranked Golden Eagles took advantage of MTSU starter Jake Wyrick’s wildness, mixing six walks in with three hits to build an early lead on the way to a 9-1 Conference USA victory over the Blue Raiders.
