Santa Claus arrives at Turtle Creek Mall

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Turtle Creek Mall in Hattiesburg will be kicking off the holiday season with the arrival of Santa Claus this weekend. 

Santa Claus is set to arrive in Coca-Cola's iconic holiday truck on Saturday, Nov, 11 at 10 a.m. Guests can stand near the mall's exterior entrance by Chuck E. Cheese's as Santa makes his entrance into the mall.

Children can tell Santa their wishes Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. On Sundays he will be available from noon to 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Visits with Santa are free, but a variety of photo packages are available for purchase and include a free $20 promo card from Shutterfly. This year, every guest that purchases a photo package will receive one phone call from Santa. 

Santa will be in town at Turtle Creek until Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. Santa can be found in Center Court near Dillards.

    Currently, Lumberton High School senior safety C.K. Bowens acts as a de facto coach-on-the-field for Coach Zach Jones’ defense. And if Jones’ has his way, Bowens will become a coach on his staff some day in the future. “Somebody’s fired,” Jones said only half-kidding. “He has a job because I would hire him in a minute. He just has a way of getting his point across and people listen. He’s just a natural leader.”
