HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Thanksgiving is just a few days away, and many families go hungry this time of year.

That’s why One80 Fitness will be taking donations for the Edwards Street Fellowship Center until November 16th. The Center provides emergency and supplemental food to over 1,200 food-insecure households each month in the surrounding counties.

One80 Fitness is asking you to bring by any non-perishable food items to help to feed those families that might otherwise miss a meal. Help give back to your community and donate to a good cause.

General Manager for One80 Fitness in Hattiesburg, Ashley McCaffery, said it’s a great way of giving back to the community while helping families stay healthy.

“We’re open and staffed 24-hours, 7-days a week, so they can come in at 3 o’clock in the morning and bring in some canned food if they want to, we have boxes up front our employees can help out with it,” McCaffery said. “It’s an amazing feeling honestly, when it comes to worrying about somebody’s well-being, it’s the same thing, you’re worried about other people’s health, so for us to be able to help out for the community, it feels amazing.”

You can bring your non-perishable food items to either One-80 Fitness store in Hattiesburg or Petal.
