Sumrall Police Dept. appoint new police chief

SUMRALL, MS (WDAM) - The Sumrall Police Department now have a new Police Chief on board.

Tony Kepper was appointed as the new Chief of Police during a special called Board Meeting on Monday October 23rd.

Kepper is a veteran police officer who served 20 years in law enforcement including 17 years with the Sumrall Police Department.

Kepper spent most of his life in Hattiesburg where he graduated from Oak Grove High School.

Officer Kepper had been serving as acting police Chief since the July resignation of Chris Dungan.
