PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

If you live in Petal and see a problem that needs fixing the solution is only one click away.

The new app is called, “SeeClickFix” and it’s a free download for your mobile phone.

Once downloaded just put in your zip code, and choose Petal as your city preference. After that, you can use the app to easily notify the city of any problems you think needs to be addressed.

Since its launch on Wednesday, several issues have already been addressed including several potholes being fixed, a street sign that was obscured by bushes and a couple of street lights that were out.

It’s also a way for the city to notify you for very helpful information.

“You know sometimes people may not know that we’re doing road work on a certain road or temporarily working on a water line that may cause us to detour traffic and we can just go ahead and post that on that app and they’ll get the alert and maybe folks won’t have to go through that hassle,” Marx said “I encourage people to use it, it’s free, even if they don’t use it to notify us, by them having it, we’ll be able to notify them if we need to let them know something.”

You can also pay your utility bill using the app and find links to Petal Schools and City Hall.
