LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

There has been a new development in fraud investigation at Southeastern Auto Sales in Laurel after a lawsuit was filed against the business.

A civil lawsuit was filed by two former customers of the business, with the defendants in the case being Taylor Perry and Casey Pitts.
They are facing racketeering and fraud charges after Jones County Sheriff's Investigator's said cars were sold with liens on them, with damage and fake contracts involved in the alleged scheme.

These documents from the Jones County Circuit Clerk outline the lawsuit involving bad faith, fraud and negligence.

Since the suit was filed against the dealership and Community Bank in Ellisville, the defendants are wanting to settle out of court since an arbitration clause was signed initially by the victims involved.

The next step will be for both parties to meet in court in January where a decision will be made to settle in our out of court.
