Pastor, business owner arrested in undercover sex operation

Kentucky police arrested a pastor from Monroe County on Saturday after he allegedly traveled to another state to meet a teenager for sex.

According to WTVA, Michael Shane Cruse, 46, was arrested in Danville, Kentucky during an undercover operation conducted by the Boyle County Sheriff's Office. Officers said that Cruse went online and arranged to meet a 16-year-old teen to have sex, though the teen was actually an undercover officer.

WTVA reported that Cruse owns and operates Cattleman's Steak and Fish restaurant in Columbus, and that his Facebook describes him as a pastor and founder or Restoration Life Church in Hamilton, Miss.

Cruse has been charged with unlawful transaction with a minor-1st degree-illicit sex act, victim under 18 years of age and/or prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure sex from a minor. He is currently out on a $20,000 bond.
