Taylorsville, MS (WDAM) - After finishing 4-7 in Chuck Robertson's first season as head coach, Taylorsville is thrilled to enter the 2017 postseason at 10-1.
However, the Tartars have a lot more they want to accomplish, starting with a win over Bogue Chitto in the opening round of the class 2A playoffs on Friday.
"It's been fun, the kids have enjoyed it," Robertson said. "You have a little excitement out at practice today. The ten wins was nice but we have other goals now. We gotta make sure that we don't settle for what we've done in the past. The past is in the past. We got to make sure that we prepare for what's ahead of us."
"It's going to be a great playoffs," said Taylorsville freshman quarterback Ty Keyes. "I think we have a chance to win it. We're going to do whatever it takes to get there."
