LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

A Jones County grand jury indicted a Laurel man for manslaughter in the death of Katherine Sinclair.

Greg Burroughs, Sinclair's boyfriend at the time of her death, is expected to be formally charged on Monday. The case was presented before a grand jury in September, but the grand jury requested more documents before continuing.

Sinclair died from a gunshot wound to the head on June 2, which she sustained the night before in her parked car inside her boyfriend’s garage in the Windermere Subdivision near Laurel.

Around 9 p.m. on June 1, Laurel Police responded to a home in the Windermere Subdivision after her boyfriend Gregory Burroughs called 911 and said his girlfriend (Sinclair) had shot herself in the head in the garage.
