HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A panel discussion about the many ways segregationists in Mississippi fought to silence the voices of civil rights activists will take place Thursday, November 16th at 6 p.m.
The panel discussion, titled "Massive Resistance in Mississippi", will be held in the Cook Library Art Gallery on the Hattiesburg campus of the University of Southern Mississippi.
"Massive Resistance in Mississippi" is part of the programming for "Lectures, Lore and Lessons: Mississippi at the Bicentennial". This aims to give a multifaceted view of the state's first 200 years.
