HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A brand new 2018 Fiat Spider with a sticker price still sitting on the front seat was found driverless in the middle of one lane of Interstate 59 just before the Highway 49 exit.

Hattiesburg police were on the scene of the accident where the car was found.

According to HPD PIO Latosha Myers-Mitchell, Hattiesburg police received a call from Mississippi Highway Patrol that a car hauler had reported a missing vehicle at marker 21, which is 46 miles away.

It appears that the car broke loose from its bindings and fell off the back of the transporter.
