HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Zoo has two new attractions: Camp Capybara and an African Mixed Species Exhibit.
The mixed species exhibit features three African Southern Ground Hornbills and a nine-year-old African Cape Porcupine, who goes by the name Ashley.
According to zoo officials, Ashley is a donation from the Miami Zoo, while the Hornbills are from Toronto, Canada.
The zoo also introduced Camp Capybara, which is an overnight stay for groups of all sizes and ages to learn about the nocturnal species. Overnight activities include animal encounters, science experiments, train and carousel rides and flashlight tours. Dinner and Breakfast will also be included.
