Forecast: Very nice day expected in the Pine Belt!

WDAM First Alert Weather Team WDAM First Alert Weather Team

Good Wednesday morning, everyone!

Yet another beautiful day is on tap for our area with highs in the upper 70s under sunny skies.

Tonight we expect clear skies with overnight lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

As we head in to Thursday and Friday temperatures will slowly warm to the lower 80s and lows will be in the 50s.

It now looks like the weekend may be on the wet side as a rather complicated weather situation sets up and a cold front approaches from the west.

At this time we are going to put a decent chance for showers and thunderstorms in the forecast for Saturday but showers and thunderstorms appear likely on Sunday with highs around 80.

At this time severe weather is not expected but we will watch the situation closely.

Cooler and drier weather is expected to return by the first or middle of next week.
