JCJC and PRCC meet in annual "Cat Fight"

POPLARVILLE, MS (WDAM) - Jones County Junior College and Pearl River Community College renew their annual "Cat Fight" on Saturday.

The Wildcats (3-3, 2-1 South Division) host the No. 14 Bobcats (5-1, 3-0 South Division) at 1 p.m. in Poplarville.

The all-time series is deadlocked at 42-42-2.

"They've done a great job," said JCJC head coach Steve Buckley. "They really have. You know from a recruiting standpoint you can look at their tape, they fly around. They're very sound in all three phases of the game. It's their homecoming game. We're going down there to Poplarville so it's going to take a great effort on our part to go there and be solid in what we're doing."

"Our team is going about business just like normal," said PRCC head coach Ted Egger. "We've got an opportunity here in front of us to play a team like Jones ranked in the top 15. So, that's our goal for this week to get our kids prepared to go compete with Jones."
