LUCEDALE, MS (WDAM) - Today Pearl River Valley Electric is sending crew workers down to Lucedale to assist Singing River Electric in their restore efforts following Hurricane Nate.
Singing River Electric reported significant outages in damage to their systems as a result of the storm.
"Lending support to our neighboring electrical cooperatives is a common practice," said Randy Wallace, general manager. "Singing River has come to our aid numerous times and we are happy to reciprocate. It is what we do in times of need."
Pearl River Valley Electric experienced minor damage as Nate skirted the Association's 12-County service territory.
The crews are leaving from each of the Association's 4 districts and should be on site by Sunday afternoon.
