City of Hattiesburg: No curfews issued at this time

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The City of Hattiesburg has issued a news release reminding residents to remain weather-ready ahead of Hurricane Nate.

The 361 Emergency Shelter at 946 Sullivan Drive will open at 2 p.m. Saturday and will be staffed by the Red Cross. If a Hattiesburg resident needs a ride to the shelter, city transit services are available between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and will begin again at 7 a.m. Sunday.

To schedule a pick-up, call the action line at 601-545-4500.

The Action Line is staffed at the Emergency Operations Center and should anyone have questions or concerns, that number is available as a resource.

At this time, there is not a curfew. City officials are asking all residents to stay weather aware as they plan for the storm.
