HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Miskelly Furniture will celebrated the beginning of its 40th year by announcing that the company will expand to Hattiesburg.

The new location will be located at Westover Crossing Shopping Center, formerly Gander Mountain, will be the store's second largest location and the seventh store the chain has opened, according to a Miskelly Furniture press release. The plan is for the store to open by early 2018.

“Hattiesburg has a vibrant economy, strong in healthcare and military with a great University. Miskelly has successfully served the area for many years.” Oscar Miskelly said. “With this addition, we can continue to provide quality furniture and bedding, but the location will be much more convenient for our customers in and around the Hub City.”

Miskelly Furniture opened its first store in Pearl 39 years ago and will become the largest furniture and bedding retailer in Mississippi after the opening of its Hattiesburg store.
