Forecast: Watching Tropical Depression #16 Closely!

Good Thursday morning, everyone!

Today and Friday look great with mainly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s.

Tropical Depression #16 is still well south of us in the western Caribbean Sea but is forecast to strengthen into Tropical Storm Nate later today.

The future  track of the storm is still uncertain at this time. The National Hurricane Center does predict that Nate will become a hurricane and will likely approach the central gulf coastal area by late in the weekend.

We are advising that everyone in the Pine Belt to pay VERY CLOSE attention to all future forecasts coming out of this station over the next several days.
