ARC to raise funds with annual golf ball drop

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The Arc of Hattiesburg will be holding its 13th annual 'Golf Ball Drop' fundraiser on November 6. 

One lucky winner who purchases a $100 golf ball will win a $20,000 prize, will funds raised benefiting The Arc Southeast Mississippi. The golf balls will be dropped from a helicopter at Canebrake Golf Club and the owner of the golf ball that lands in the hole or closest to it will win the grand prize. 

Balls can be purchased by calling 601-583-4251 or 601-268-9334 or by visiting www.hattiesburgarc.com, and they will be on sale by mail until Oct. 20 and online until 12:00 p.m. Nov. 6. Golf balls may be purchased at Canebrake Club house until 1 hour prior to the event. 

The Golf Ball Drop is the largest fundraiser of the year for The Arc, a non-profit organization which provides a variety of services for individuals with developmental disorders and their families.
