HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - For 30 years, the Fulmer Family in Richton has helped younger generations learn all about old-fashioned farming and pioneer life in Mississippi.
The family has hosted the Mississippi Pecan Festival since 1988.
Saturday, folks from all over visited the Fulmers on the second day of this year's three-day festival.
They listened to live bluegrass music, while eating ice cream or boiled peanuts.
They also viewed demonstrations of antique farm equipment and shopped for lots of pecan pies.
"We just like to show everybody how farm life used to be," said Bethany Fulmer.
"We've been coming for several years, we just enjoy this country scenery out here and all the entertainment," said Susan Frierson, of Picayune.
The festival wraps up on Sunday.
